In bocca entra composto, giustamente tannico, chiusura appagante.

The visits to the wineries between May and July 2019 by Michele Marchi

Maria Gioia Rosellini is the soul of Cà Orologio.
After the acquisition of the beautiful farm in the early 2000s, which also includes a fascinating farmhouse, she moved the first steps led by the hand of Roberto Cipresso who gave her the imprinting.

Now she has embarked on a personal path and reaps the fruits of her work, beautiful fruits.
The philosophy of the slow passage of time that hovers over the entire structure suggests continuous improvements without distortions.
The soils are varied between medium mix, flake, limestone and volcanic and are expressed on the various plots farmed with Barbera, Raboso, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Carmenere, Muscat, Friulian in their own and always different ways and extends.
Great variety and distinction of final results, all very appreciable.

It’s good to remember that already in 2000 the organic certification has been obtained and since 2009 the concepts of biodynamics have been applied.
The wines of Cà Orologio are characterized by an excellent taste consistency, stabilized over the years.
The interpretative distinction has allowed a very high customer loyalty. The wines presented this year are clear, direct and with a big heart.

A look at the wine cellar

The Relogio 17 (Carmenere and Cabernet Franc), decidedly powerful, intense and ample in its very red and fully ripe fruit. Good texture on the palate, with important but well assembled tannins.

The Colli Euganei Rosso Calaone 2017, intense the red fruits, cherry and plum. In the mouth it enters assembled, rightly tannic, with a satisfying closing.

Monello il Lunisole 2017 (Barbera), classically rustic, but accurate. Pleasantly drinkable.

Salarola 2018 (Friulian, white and yellow Muscat, Pinot Blanc), with a strong evidence of the tropical yellow, dry on the palate with a fresh and tasty finish.

The SalaRosa 2018, a barbera- and merlot-based rosé, it has beautiful red fruits, drinkable and not just for the summertime.
